Children raised in government schools in Gujarat
As many as 61,000 children in the state have been admitted to government schools from private schools while parents of more than 32,000 schools have admitted their children to government schools.
However, this is the first time since 2014 that such a large number of children have been transferred from private schools to government schools.
Corona is responsible for the economic situation
While the financial situation of parents is deteriorating due to Corona, it is not possible to send children to private schools. On the other hand, private school administrators have also proposed to the FRC committee to increase fees so that the number of children admitted to government schools is likely to increase. The admission process in government schools will run till August 31.
Parents prefer doing government schools
It is also being denied that parents are recommending big leaders and legislators to get children into school. Some legislators are also recommending for admission of children in AMC-run schools. BJP MLA from Thakkarbapa Nagar Vallabh Kakadia has recommended for admission in a government school for 9 children in his area.
61 thousand children took admission in 32 thousand schools
In this regard, Amraiwadi MLA Jagdish Patel seems to have recommended for the admission of one child in an AMC-run school. Meanwhile, Congress MLA from Dariapur Gyasuddin Sheikh has come up with a recommendation for admission in a government school for 17 children in his area.
