Judgment / Supreme Court's important judgment on Hindu temples, says priest does not own temple

The priest does not own the temple

 The Supreme Court in a landmark judgment on Monday said that no priest or government official has the right to temple land.  The priest does not own the temple.  God has the right to the temple land.

 Gave the example of the Ram temple

 For this, the Supreme Court gave the example of Ayodhya Ram Temple.

At the same time, the apex court had issued an order on the instruction of the Madhya Pradesh government stating that the owner of the temple land was not its priest.

The Madhya Pradesh government had issued the notification

 In fact, this is a very common occurrence in which priests exercise their authority over temples.  Priests also write their names on government papers.  In some cases, the priest then voluntarily sells the temple land.  For this, the Madhya Pradesh government had issued a notification that the temple land was not owned by a priest.  The priest's job is simply to take care of the temple and its land.
